Cream Silk Color Protect Conditioner: Review

Around February, I have been seeing advertisements about this conditioner and since I have been contemplating of coloring my hair pink, I was really thinking of buying conditioner and hair products that would ensure the integrity of my hair and at the same time maintain the pink color of my hair. I ended up coloring my hair red. For everyone who tried to have red hair, you know that there is a huge tendency for the color to fade and for one to have a brassy hair. If you have been checking my previous posts, I am a huge fan of Hair Fix Coloring Shampoo and that shampoo promises for the color to last for 10 weeks. I have been coloring my own hair for about 3-4 years now and I know that no matter what the product promised, it still won’t take that long without proper hair care and complementing hair products. I was not really thrilled when I saw the Cream Silk Color Protect Conditioner because there has been a lot of similar products advertised by other brands but still I decided to give this a try. The message was simple, it would protect you color-treated hair, it is specialized for such hair. It was an unassuming product with a simple promise and so I decided to give it a try.

At the first look of the product, it just looks like the usual packaging of all Cream Silk Conditioner, the girl that would represent the girl that would most likely use the product, the girl had medium length auburn hair. The motif of the packaging was red. As I mentioned, the way it advertises itself was very simple although it has a big promise which is to take care of your color-treated hair. I used the product that I got from sample room. The conditioner had a thick consistency that most conditioner have and it is white in color. I like how it felt on my hair. But to be honest, there was nothing special on how it feels on your scalp, there were no tingling or menthol feel, it was just like how most

conditioner and other hair product feels on your scalp. I don’t follow the coin size amount in using hair products, I usually would double that and that’s what I did, I like how slippery it became when you apply the product on your damp hair, I feel that all of my hair are being treated with the conditioner. Here comes the good part. Whenever I would color my hair, I hate the first few days because whenever you rinse it, you would still see some residue of the red dye and the water is still reddish. I have used other hair products with the same promise of Cream Silk Color Protect Conditioner but still got the same results but in the case of Cream Silk Color Protect Conditioner, I did not experience such and even if it has been a week since I colored my hair, people still notice and like the vibrancy of my red hair. It appeared golden brown red (I mixed the golden copper and rich auburn so the end result was really nice). I have noticed that it may be good in protecting your hair color but it is not good in detangling your hair. I used other Cream Silk Conditioner products and what I have noticed is that after you use it, combing your hair is a piece of cake but in the case of the Cream Silk Conditioner, it did help compared to if you will just be using shampoo but I did not get the same effects that I got from other Cream Silk Conditioner products. Color protection was fine but detangling is not so much.

Will I be purchasing this product? Definitely, I am giving this product a score of 5 out 5 from packaging, how it felt on my hair and the results of using this product. I highly recommend this for people who color-treats their hair. Please share your own experience or if you have any question, feel free to leave them at the comments section.
